Luke 22:54-62 ---
57He denied it, "Woman, I don't even know him."
58A short time later, someone else noticed him and said, "You're one of them."
But Peter denied it: "Man, I am not."
59About an hour later, someone else spoke up, really adamant: "He's got to have been with him! He's got 'Galilean' written all over him."
60-62Peter said, "Man, I don't know what you're talking about." At that very moment, the last word hardly off his lips, a rooster crowed. Just then, the Master turned and looked at Peter. Peter remembered what the Master had said to him: "Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times." He went out and cried and cried and cried.
How do you think Peter felt, knowing what he did? When have you felt this way? What are some ways you felt like you've betrayed Jesus in your everyday life? Journal it.
Now read about a later encounter between Jesus and Peter. :)
John 21:15-19 ---
"Yes, Master, you know I love you."
Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."
16He then asked a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?"
"Yes, Master, you know I love you."
Jesus said, "Shepherd my sheep."
17-19Then he said it a third time: "Simon, son of John, do you love me?"
Peter was upset that he asked for the third time, "Do you love me?" so he answered, "Master, you know everything there is to know. You've got to know that I love you."
Jesus said, "Feed my sheep. I'm telling you the very truth now: When you were young you dressed yourself and went wherever you wished, but when you get old you'll have to stretch out your hands while someone else dresses you and takes you where you don't want to go." He said this to hint at the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. And then he commanded, "Follow me.
Replay this in your mind as you read it again... but this time imagine it is you standing on the beach. Jesus is speaking right to you. What is he saying? How do you respond? Write out how you think the conversation would go in your journal.

P.S. I AM FINISHED EXAMS! Praise God. No more grade eleven for me.
You are my passion.

I think it's funny how in Canada people say "grade" before the level. But in The U.S. we say the "Level" before "grade" e.g. US-11th grade Canada-Grade 11... I think that's so funny. Don't know why :D
